Error message: "uBar.app" can't be opened because it was not downloaded from the Mac App Store.

Problem

When attempting to launch uBar, the following message is shown: "uBar.app" can't be opened because it was not downloaded from the Mac App Store.

Solution

If you are getting this message, it means that your security settings only allow apps downloaded from the Mac App Store. To change this, open System Preferences from the Apple menu and then open the Security & Privacy preference pane. Under General, select "Mac App Store and identified developers" once you have unlocked the pane.
